The Vienna Boys’ Choir was founded 500 years ago and until 1918 they sang exclusively for the court. In the 1920’s the Choir was reorganized as a private organisation and today 100 choristers between the ages of nine and fourteen sing in 4 choirs. During the academic year they are on tour for 9 to 11 weeks and visit Europe, Asia, America and Australia. The choir’s repertoire includes music from the medieval to contemporary music.
